‘Wild Nature’ at Durlston Country Park

Durlston Country Park’s Fine Foundation Gallery presents ‘Wild Nature’, an exhibition by artist Lisa Parkyn celebrating the natural world through vibrant colour, expressive mark-making, and layered mixed media. The exhibition is now open and will run until Wednesday 8th April, 10.30am – 4.30pm and is free to enter.

Lisa Parkyn spent her early life on a remote farm in the Kalahari semi-desert, Botswana. Growing up in a family of painters, she developed an early affinity for art before pursuing studies and a career in graphic design in South Africa and London. Lisa is now based in Devon and known for her vibrant unique style. Her work draws from the sensory experience and raw drama of landscape, wild seascapes, and untamed florals.

‘Wild Nature’ showcases the vibrant pieces that Lisa creates, in the picturesque setting of the Fine Foundation Gallery, Durlston Country Park. This exhibition will also include new pieces inspired by Durlston's wildflower meadows as well as seascapes, landscapes and botanicals. Lisa’s original works will be for sale as well as prints and cards.

Shannon Dugdale, from Durlston Country Park said, “This exhibition is truly beautiful and a perfect fit for the arrival of Spring, with its striking colours and appreciation to the natural world. You can see the time and skill in every piece on show.”

The exhibition is open daily from 10.30-4.30pm.
