The one where Santa visited The Rectory...
Christmas magic has well and truly arrived at The Rectory Care Home in Taunton with residents, local families, and children enjoying a special visit from Santa.
The event featured festive activities including a Christmas cracker-making station and seasonal treats like mulled wine and mince pies and a visit to Santa’s Grotto.
Spreading festive cheer, healthcare assistant Elsie Fouracre Moore played Santa, ably assisted by activities co-ordinator Maria Robinson as her helpful elf.
Residents and young visitors enjoyed chatting with Santa, sharing their Christmas wishes, and taking part in fun games and sing-alongs.
“A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so special,” said Abbie Foster, The Rectory’s registered manager.
“And an extra-special shout-out to our amazing team members, Elsie and Maria, for transforming into Santa and his clever little elf – you both truly brought the magic to life!”
The Rectory provides dementia care for 25 residents and is part of the family-run White Care Group, with homes in Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet.
