Royal revelry at The Rectory

Residents and staff at The Rectory Care Home in Taunton came together for a jubilant celebration in honour of His Majesty the King’s Birthday.

The home was filled with music and laughter as residents, their families and staff came together to enjoy a day packed with patriotic cheer and heartwarming moments.

Traditional fish and chips were served for lunch, and guests waved Union Jack flags and raised a toast to the King.

“It was such a joyful occasion,” said The Rectory’s registered manager, Abbie Foster.

“Bringing everyone together to mark such an important national event creates such a strong sense of connection and community within our home.”

The event reflected The Rectory’s ongoing commitment to creating meaningful moments for its residents, embracing both everyday joys and national traditions.

“These events are so important,” added Abbie. “They bring smiles, spark conversations, and create lovely memories for everyone involved.”

The Rectory is run by specialist dementia care providers White Care Group, who also run St Benedict’s Nursing Home in Glastonbury and St Cecilia Care Home in Shepton Mallet.
