New discount card launched in Cornwall to help families of children and young people with SEND

A new discount card scheme has been launched to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families.

Called Access4ALL, it has been developed by the council-run Family Information Service (FIS) to offer exclusive discounts at Cornish venues. 

Almost 20 businesses have already signed up, from bakeries and fish and chip shops to local attractions and gyms (see the full list below). 

The card features a design by 10-year-old school pupil Logan Baker, who won a competition run by the FIS team to draw a picture promoting inclusivity. 

Cllr Hilary Frank, Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Schools, said: 

“The Access4ALL card gives eligible families access to exclusive discounts and priority offers helping to make everyday life more affordable and inclusive. 

“It is a fantastic scheme, reinforcing our commitment to supporting children and young people with SEND and their families across Cornwall.” 

Anyone can apply for an Access4ALL card if your child or young person: 

• Is aged 0–25 

• Lives in Cornwall, and 

• Has a special educational need or disability 

You can register your child or young person’s details onto the disabled children’s record.
