Clarke Willmott shortlisted for three awards in prestigious annual South West deals ceremony

National law firm Clarke Willmott LLP has been nominated in three categories in this year’s South West Business Insider Dealmakers Awards.

The firm, which has offices in Bristol and Taunton, is one of ten to be shortlisted in the Law Firm of the Year category at the 2025 awards.

Clarke Willmott also advised on two deals to be shortlisted in the ESG Deal category: the sale of Bristol & Avon Group Ltd. to Heidelberg Materials UK and the purchase of 422 acres of commercial farmland by Avon Needs trees for the creation of a 100,000-tree woodland. This deal was also nominated in the Large Deal of the Year (£25m+) category, along with the Management Buy Out of XYZ Machine Tools, on which Clarke Willmott also advised.

This year’s awards will be presented at a gala dinner at Bristol’s Marriott City Centre Hotel on Thursday, 26th June.

Simon Thomas, commercial division MD and head of the Bristol corporate team at Clarke Willmott, said: “The past year has been another excellent one for our corporate lawyers, with numerous major transactions completed by our Bristol team and also by our Taunton team, led by partner Kirill Bingham.

“The annual Dealmakers Awards ceremony is a chance to celebrate the achievements of the South West’s top corporate lawyers, as well as its corporate financiers, accountants, bankers, funders and M&A professionals, and we are extremely proud to have received four nominations this time around.”

Clarke Willmott is a national law firm with offices in Taunton, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester and Southampton.
