Annual service of remembrance returns to Memorial Woodlands

A service commemorating the men and women who have lost their lives while serving their country will take place at Bristol Memorial Woodlands on Wednesday 14 June.

The annual Military Service of Remembrance will be led by Padre Maj. Andy Latifa in the onsite chapel. This will be followed by a parade to the war memorial within the woodlands with military representatives marching to lay wreaths and pay their respects.

Bristol Memorial Woodlands owner Chris Baker said: “This event is a highlight on our calendar and an important day to commemorate the men and women who have lost their lives in service since the turn of the millennium.

“We look forward to welcoming military representatives in their service dress as well as members of the public who would like to join in with the commemorations.”

Bristol Memorial Woodlands, near Alveston, South Gloucestershire is open every day for people to visit, walk and enjoy quiet contemplation.
