Osborne Clarke advises Capably AI on $4m seed investment

Lawyers at Osborne Clarke in Bristol have advised intelligent automation platform Capably AI on its $4 million seed funding round.

Capably AI helps businesses delegate work to artificial intelligence, operating autonomously in the background and automating back-office tasks.

The funding round was led by Boost Capital Partners, with participation from other major funds - Concept Ventures, Sure Valley Ventures, Arāya Ventures, Haatch, Koro Capital, Wayra UK and Ascension Ventures.

The Osborne Clarke team advising on the transaction included Bristol-based corporate partner James Taylor and was led by corporate senior associate Uday Mehra.

“It’s been a pleasure to lead the Osborne Clarke team advising Capably AI over the past two years from their pre-seed funding round through to now,” said Uday Mehra.

“They are replacing legacy automation and leading the next wave of AI-powered automation. We very much look forward to seeing them grow and continue to innovate in this space.”

Osborne Clarke’s corporate team is considered a go-to practice for many in the tech, media and comms sector, working with leading global businesses, fast-growth start-ups and market challengers. The team advises on all stages of company development across all corporate issues, from equity and debt fundraisings to M&A, IPOs and JVs.
