Emergency Services Day

Emergency Services Day

On this year's Emergency Services Day - 9 September - residents at Camelot Care's Yeovil dementia care home Chestnut Lodge were visited by firefighters from Yeovil Fire Station.

Residents were able to look around the engine while others were treated to a discussion on fire and fire fighting equipment. One resident, Ted Hutchings (pictured), vividly remembered his time working at Crewkerne fire station.

The visit was part of a full and varied activities programme provided for residents. Chestnut Lodge is run by award-winning dementia care provider Camelot Care, who also run homes in Bridgwater, Plymouth and Wellington, with a fifth due to open in Holsworthy in Devon later this year.
