New development planner at Redcliffe Homes

Chipping Sodbury-based independent housebuilder Redcliffe Homes has appointed David Hagan to the role of development planner.

David has over 15 years’ private sector experience, working predominantly on residential schemes, and is now responsible for providing Redcliffe Homes and landowners with planning and development advice on a range of issues, and for managing planning applications.

In addition to residential planning, David also has a wide range of experience dealing with urban regeneration and mixed-use schemes, education, leisure, industrial and commercial development, proposals affecting listed buildings and Certificates of Lawfulness.

He holds a degree in Town and Country Planning from the University of Manchester and is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.

David Hagan said: “Redcliffe Homes’ focus on integrating their new developments sensitively into the environment appeals to me very much, as do their sustainability credentials and high quality design, so I’m very glad to become part of the team.”

Jon Burcombe, Redcliffe’s development director, said: “We’re delighted David has joined us. He has a wealth of relevant experience and the vision needed for this role. It’s great to have him on board.”

David Hagan previously worked with Rapleys in Bristol (formally CSJ Planning), Persimmon Homes Wessex, and the Emerson Group (Jones Homes & Orbit Developments) and Taylor Young planning consultants, both in Cheshire.

Outside work David enjoys spending time with his two young children, as well as travelling and hiking in the countryside.

Redcliffe Homes is currently building new homes at Rowden Brook in Chippenham and Gascoigne Park in Milborne Port, Dorset, with developments in the pipeline at Ashleworth in Gloucestershire, Castle Cary in Somerset, Old Sodbury and Cromhall in South Gloucestershire, and Hilperton and Durrington in Wiltshire.
